What Is Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT)

Why is it that the first thing ER technicians put on your face after a major injury is an oxygen mask? Oxygen reduces the stress your body will endure. Stress kills the oxygen you consume and a lack of oxygen slows down brain function and other organs. Your brain and nervous system need oxygen to survive and as you age, your ability to utilize oxygen decreases.

The body’s ability to transfer oxygen from the lungs to the cells is perhaps the most significant factor in whether you live a healthy life or not. This process becomes harder as we age, increasing our chances of getting sick.

How EWOT Is Used

At Advanced Health and Wellness Center we use Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) to aid the body in repairing this process.  This therapy is effective for every conceivable condition because it improves the delivery of the most essential substance in tissue life and repair – oxygen. In the cases of many of our patients who are suffering with pain, the oxygen you receive simply is helping your body heal faster.
